I close my eyes but still I see your face.
I hear your breath and sense that you’re still there.
The fact is that you’re in some far-off place,
My sleeping arms encircling empty air.
It’s only hours but seems like days away
Till I shall get to hold your hands again.
But in my mind your face is there to stay
And I’ll just have to close my eyes till then.
