My mouth is in total ecstasy. Mixing stuff together at home, I’ve just stumbled upon the Holy Grail of healthy post-gym drinks – the Raspberry Ripple Smoothie. Give or take a scoop or two, this is how it goes….

  • 1 large handful of raspberries
  • 1 large handful of blueberries
  • 1 large handful of strawberries
  • 1/4 pint of apple juice
  • 1/4 pint of orange juice
  • 4 large dessert spoons of live, natural yoghurt
  • 1 large scoop of whey protein powder (optional – but good after a hard sesh in the gym)
  • and the main chocolatey ingredient… 1 large scoop of Ben & Jerry‘s Phish Food ice-cream.

Buzz them in a blender for a few seconds and then try your best not to neck it all in one go.

Bliss! Ahem. Please excuse me for a few moments while I go touch myself….
